The modern tank was born during the First World War. The British used the rolling steel combat vehicles against German troops for the first time. The Germans then developed the "A7V" - and in the Second World War, the "Panther" and "Tiger". Ferdinand Porsche was also involved in the construction of tanks during the Nazi era with the "Maus".
